Sikar has emerged as a serious hub for defence exam preparation in Rajasthan, with Alpha NDA Academy and Prince NDA Academy among the most searched institutes for NDA 2026. This guide compares fees, faculty, results, facilities, and training style so students and parents can choose the right fit without relying on marketing claims alone.

Every year, thousands of Class 11 and Class 12 students across Rajasthan dream of wearing the uniform of the Indian Armed Forces. For many of them, the journey begins not at the National Defence Academy itself but in coaching towns like Sikar, where disciplined classrooms, daily physical training, and SSB-oriented mentoring have become part of the preparation culture. Among the institutes that dominate local search queries in 2026, two names appear again and again: **Alpha NDA Academy** and **Prince NDA Academy**.

We offers a comparison of Alpha NDA Academy and Prince NDA Academy for NDA 2026 preparation. It draws on publicly available institute information, fee patterns, faculty profiles, and result claims reported in local reviews. It is meant to help you evaluate fit, not declare a universal winner, because the better institute depends on your budget, timeline, and whether your child needs stronger written-exam drilling or deeper SSB personality grooming.

## Why Sikar Is Rising as an NDA Coaching Destination

Rajasthan has long produced defence aspirants, but Sikar’s appeal in 2026 comes from a combination of affordability, hostel infrastructure, and proximity to disciplined school systems. Unlike metro cities where living costs push annual preparation budgets beyond reach for middle-class families, Sikar allows many students to pursue a full residential NDA programme at a comparatively manageable cost.

### What the NDA Exam Demands in 2026

The National Defence Academy entrance exam, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission, remains a two-stage filter. Candidates first face a written test covering Mathematics and the General Ability Test, which includes English, general knowledge, [physics](https://academic247.com/coachings/physics-wallah-vidyapeeth-sikar), chemistry, history, geography, and current affairs. Only those who clear the written cutoff are called for the Services Selection Board interview, followed by medical standards and final merit.

Because the exam is attempted after Class 11 or Class 12, coaching choice is rarely about shortcuts. It is about building three parallel competencies:

- **Conceptual accuracy** in Mathematics and science-based GAT sections
- **Exam temperament** through timed mock tests and error tracking
- **Officer-like qualities** assessed during SSB, including communication, group behaviour, and physical fitness

## 1. Alpha NDA Academy

Alpha NDA Academy was established in 2014 under director Mr Pawan Choudhary and operates from Jaipur-Jhunjhunu Bypass Road, near Dhanwantari Hospital, Sikar. Over the past decade, it has built a reputation for structured batches, regular mock tests, and a disciplined daily routine that appeals to parents who want visible accountability.

Students researching defence options in the region may also encounter [Alpha Defence Academy Sikar](https://academic247.com/coachings/alpha-defence-academy-sikar), a related name in local listings. When visiting campuses, confirm whether you are enrolling at the NDA-specific wing or a broader defence programme, because batch design and fee plans can differ.

### Teaching Approach at Alpha

Alpha’s model leans toward written-exam mastery supported by SSB orientation. Faculty mentorship is relatively compact, with leadership involvement in both academic planning and interview guidance. For students who struggle with consistency, this can be an advantage: fewer layers between the student and decision-makers often mean faster feedback on test performance and attendance issues.

Reported strengths include:

- Daily study schedules with supervised self-study blocks
- Regular chapter tests and full-length mock exams
- Physical training integrated into the routine
- SSB modules covering OIR, PPDT, and basic interview readiness
- Study material and revision support for Mathematics and GAT

### Alpha NDA Academy Fees and Programmes (2026)

Based on currently listed fee information, Alpha offers a day-scholar programme around Rs 95,000 and a hostel-based programme around Rs 2,40,000, with a registration fee of approximately Rs 5,000. Alpha appears more accessible for students who already live in Sikar or can stay with guardians and attend as day scholars.

Parents should always verify whether hostel fees include meals, laundry, medical care, and summer batch extensions. Hidden add-ons can change the real cost by 10 to 20 percent.

### Results and Reputation

Alpha publicly highlights strong written-exam selection numbers, with claims of 190-plus written selections in recent cycles. While institute-reported data should be cross-checked during campus visits, the number signals a focus on clearing the first hurdle at scale. On review platforms, Alpha has recorded strong ratings, including Google scores near 4.9 out of 5 in several listings.

Alpha may suit you if:

1. Your priority is clearing the written exam on a controlled budget
2. You want a disciplined environment with frequent testing
3. You prefer a compact faculty structure with direct mentorship
4. You are preparing on a shorter timeline after Class 12

## 2. Prince NDA Academy

Prince NDA Academy was founded in 2012 and is located on Palwas Road, Sikar. Under director Jogendra Sunda, the institute has positioned itself as a long-duration residential programme with heavy emphasis on personality development and mentoring by retired defence officers.

Prince is often recommended to students who begin preparation early sometimes from Class 10 or Class 11 and want a multi-year roadmap covering board academics, NDA syllabus, physical fitness, and SSB grooming in one campus.

### Faculty and SSB Orientation

Prince’s major differentiator is the size and profile of its mentoring team. Publicly listed faculty include retired officers such as Col. Vir Singh Rathod, Commodore Manjit Singh, Col. G.S. Baidwan, and Col. D.S. Cheema, along with specialised trainers for GTO tasks and general knowledge. For SSB preparation, exposure to officers who have assessed or trained candidates can help students understand what authenticity looks like in group discussions, lecturettes, and outdoor tasks.

That said, impressive faculty lists matter only if students get regular access not just inauguration-day speeches. During demo visits, ask:

- How many SSB sessions are conducted per month?
- Are outdoor GTO-style tasks part of the weekly plan?
- Who evaluates mock interviews academic teachers or SSB mentors?

### Prince NDA Academy Fees and Course Duration

Prince publishes broader long-term packages. Listed options include a one-year course around Rs 1,85,000, a two-year course around Rs 2,95,000, and a three-year course around Rs 3,85,000, with hostel components generally integrated into the residential plan rather than priced separately in public listings.

This pricing structure suggests Prince targets families planning early entry into defence preparation rather than last-minute dropouts after a failed first attempt.

### Results and Rank Performance

Where Alpha emphasises written selections, Prince highlights top merit ranks, including claimed All India Ranks such as AIR 10, AIR 19, AIR 246, AIR 270, and AIR 273 in recent years. For aspirants aiming not merely to qualify but to secure competitive merit and service preference, this rank-focused track record is worth investigating through verified student testimonials.

Prince may suit you if:

1. You want a multi-year residential programme with hostel included
2. SSB and personality development are equal priorities to written prep
3. You value mentoring from retired defence officers
4. You are starting early and can commit to a longer course cycle

## Side-by-Side Comparison: Alpha vs Prince for NDA 2026

The fastest way to compare two institutes is to align them against the decision criteria parents actually use after the first brochure meeting.

## Facilities, Hostel Life, and Daily Routine

NDA preparation is as much about lifestyle reset as syllabus coverage. Both Alpha and Prince advertise daily physical training, mock tests, study material, hostel facilities, and SSB modules. The difference is often in how tightly personality development is embedded into the weekly calendar.

### What to Inspect During a Campus Visit

Before paying registration fees, visit both campuses on a working day not a Sunday open house. Check:

- **Hostel hygiene and security:** CCTV, warden presence, visitor rules
- **Classroom strength:** Batch size affects doubt clearance
- **Library and self-study hours:** Silent zones matter for GAT reading habits
- **Physical training grounds:** Running track, obstacle familiarity, drill space
- **Medical support:** Basic first aid and tie-ups with local clinics
- **Food quality:** Defence selection later demands stamina; nutrition matters now

## How NDA Coaching in Sikar Compares With Other Cities

Parents sometimes ask whether a student should relocate to [Delhi](https://academic247.com/schools/delhi-public-school-bangalore-east), Jaipur, or remain in Sikar. There is no single national answer. [Delhi](https://academic247.com/schools/delhi-public-school-chandigarh) offers proximity to major test-series publishers and frequent seminar exposure, reflected in city coaching guides like [Top Coachings in](https://academic247.com/rankings/top-coachings-delhi-2026)[Delhi](https://academic247.com/schools/delhi-public-school-hyderabad) 2026. Jaipur offers larger urban infrastructure and options such as [Kalam Academy Jaipur](https://academic247.com/coachings/kalam-academy-jaipur) for mixed competitive portfolios.

Sikar’s advantage is focus and cost discipline. A student who might get distracted in a large metro may benefit from Sikar’s exam-town environment, similar in spirit to how Kota works for JEE aspirants. The trade-off is fewer alternate coaching switches mid-year and limited recreational outlets, which can affect burnout levels.

For broader context on residential school plus coaching combinations, compare with [Best Schools in Jaipur 2026](https://academic247.com/rankings/best-schools-in-jaipur-2026) and [Best Schools in Kota 2026](https://academic247.com/rankings/best-schools-in-kota-2026) if relocation is on the table.

## Alpha or Prince for NDA 2026?

After comparing establishment history, public fee listings, faculty structures, and stated results, a practical verdict emerges:

- **Choose Alpha NDA Academy** if affordability, written-exam rigour, and disciplined short-term preparation are your top priorities.
- **Choose Prince NDA Academy** if you want long-duration residential coaching, deeper personality development, and mentoring from a larger retired defence faculty panel.

Both institutes offer the core ingredients of NDA preparation study material, mock tests, physical training, hostel options, and SSB orientation. Neither replaces personal effort, medical fitness, or mental resilience. The institute should shorten your path to structured practice, not promise selection without work.

Before enrolling, attend demo classes at both campuses, speak to current hostel students away from staff presence, and compare refund policies in writing. ## Conclusion

It is about aligning an institute’s design with your child’s age, financial plan, and stage of preparation. Alpha NDA Academy and Prince NDA Academy both belong in the serious conversation Alpha for disciplined written-exam preparation and accessible day-scholar entry, Prince for long-term residential mentoring with retired defence officers and rank-focused outcomes.

The right choice is the one that your child can sustain physically and mentally for months, not the one that wins a brochure comparison. With careful due diligence, Sikar can be a strong launchpad for NDA 2026 and beyond.
